Can a scorpion sting through a fingernail?

So I was asleep last night and woke up to a sharp pain in my hand - I think I was stung by a scorpion (we have a lot around our house). I had a small white mark right in the middle of my fingernail where the pain was coming from. I immediately felt weak and pale and my heart was racing. So my questions is can scorpions sting ';through'; a fingernail? Can a scorpion sting through a fingernail?
Highly doubtful. If you watch how a scorpion eats, they don't necessarily strike very fast. They don't whip their tails like you would imagine. More like a quick hook. Scorpions usually don't take to beetles or other hard shelled insects and if you watch they often 'feel' for a soft spot such as a joint in a leg or abdomen with their stingers while holding it with their pedipalps(pincers). It would most likely glance off of a fingernail. Can a scorpion sting through a fingernail?
yes he can i mean there tails are very strong and they move it like a sledgehammer so my answer is yeah..
I have a pet scorpion and from me watching it sting some of its food i'd say no. But other types of scorpions might be able to sting harder.
