I broke the top knuckle of my pinkie finger a few months ago and now that fingernail is growing funny?

There is no discoloration, but it is growing thicker and not as smooth as in the past.





Is this normal ?

sounds like you damaged the nail bed - it may be like that for the rest of your life. My son smashed his finger when he was young, it stunted the growth of the end of the finger and his nail always grows out with a split in it.
