I have blisters around and under my fingernail and the nail is turning yellow?
i had my solar nails took off a month ago and ever since some of my nails are yellow and small blisters are coming up around and looks like under the nail?could this be an infection?I have blisters around and under my fingernail and the nail is turning yellow?

I've been getting my nails done for about 4 months now, the acrylic nails, and last night one fell off and underneath is a greenish color that won't come off, i assume its fungus. Yes it sounds like fungus. You can try a topical over the counter treatment first, if that doesnt help go see a doctor and get it treated.
You may also want to reconsider getting your nails done. Acrylic messes up your fingernails in the long run. A lot of older women have old yellowish/brown nails from years of getting them done.

I agree that you may need a Dr., but try soaking in warm Epsom salt and athlete's foot medications treat fungus.
if you haven't tried yet, soak the nail in hydrogen peroxide for a bit, a couple times a day. you can gently file some of it off. people get these fungi from moisture getting under the false nails, then trying to glue it back down. used to see it in the salon...
Yes -- my suggestion is that you start by getting a proper diagnosis. What you describe is almost certainly not fungus. Fungus rarely affects the fingernails unless the toenails are infected first. Green pigment represents colonization with pseudomonas bacteria, the result of trauma, not fungus. It comes as no surprise that the Lamisil pills did not help.
Acrylic nails are not likely to cause permanent nail damage, but picking might. The only way to find out is to leave the nails alone for 6 months. You can trim them and polish them, but that's it. They're bound to improve, even if not completely.

My boyfriend accidentally scratched the white part of his cornea with his fingernail?
He says it feels like there's a stick in it, because it stings so badly. It constantly tears, even in his sleep. Is it going to heal itself? Going to a doctor is not really an option for him. If he scratched the conjunctival membrane, then he's OK. Remember Jim Carry grossing out some people by tugging on the conjunctiva - it's the part that moves freely. (I think he was in Africal) If the scratch is on the sclera, which doesn't move at all (except with motion of the entire eyeball) thenI would suggest seeing an Ophthalmologist. Scleral pain is usually describes as a deep, boring (like a drill) type of pain. And which is more important to him? Money or his eyesight?
